I have been taking lessons with Rikke since 2017. She is an amazing instructor with a true passion for the classical style of Pilates. I have had classes prior to, during and after my pregnancy- all of which I have benefited greatly from.
Currently, I am attending the postnatal sessions at the Gawsworth studio. This is such a lovely, calming space. The sessions are relaxed so if baby isn’t happy it’s fine to stop to settle them or nurse. Rikke keeps the flow of the lessons going so you still feel you have had a good amount of exercise even if you have to stop a couple of times throughout. It’s also been a nice place to chat with and meet other local mums after the session has finished. I’d definitely recommend Rikke’s sessions to anyone looking to get into Pilates- especially if you’re pre or post natal.

Where do I begin? The whole Pilates experience with Rikke is an absolute joy. She makes the classes such fun whilst teaching a most precise discipline in a clear & manageable way. She never criticises but is so generous with her praise that it is a great boost to the self confidence & encourages us to try that bit harder.. Her sunny personality is infectious - who needs therapy when we have Rikke? - And she's a brilliant teacher!! It's the only exercise class I've ever actually looked forward to. Long may it continue.

Rikki is an inspirational teacher whose Pilates classes are totally inclusive. She caters for all ages and abilities and is always supportive and positive.

Rikke works us hard but her lessons are fun and informative. Her love of pilates is infectious, she is super enthusiastic, I really feel that I get what it's all about having attended her classes for a few months. She has improved my posture and strength, and my lower back pain has massively decreased. I cannot recommend her classes highly enough!

Apologies for the cliche but Pilates really has changed my life.
Recovering from a neurological illness my physiotherapist commented that my strong core helped my body bounce back quicker than usual. This is all thanks to Rikke’s encouragement and infectious enthusiasm for Pilates over the years that I’ve been with her. She’s truly a fantastic teacher ️

I rejoined Rikke’s Pilates classes twice a week a few months before my hip replacement operation was due on 7 February this year and am sure the strengthening of my muscles was a great help in my post-op rehab. Once I had sufficiently recovered, I resumed classes in spring and am already feeling the benefit. Rikke is always vigilant as to each individual’s needs and makes every class fun too.
